EL BULLI COLLECTION Designed by Luki Huber who has been developing utensils exclusively for El Bulli restaurant since 2002. Some of these pieces are now available to the public as part of this collection. These unique utensils permit the preparation and tasting of the innovative culinary proposals of Ferran Adrià. All stainless steel pieces are dishwasher-safe. Made in Spain. Spoon with Clip For eating and enjoying aromas at the same time. The sense of smell, so highly considered in tasting wine, is used very little when eating. This spoon is used at El Bulli to provoke this sense, by allowing the guest to smell the aroma of one thing such as an herb or flower clipped to the spoon while tasting another thing, creating an act that awakens a sensorial mixture of taste and smell. Straining Spoon For cereals and much more. Sometimes one prefers to eat first the cereal and then the milk, or eat first the pasta and then the broth. The straining spoon permits all of this and opens a wide array of possibilities, such as the combination of cereals with fruit juices. In the kitchen, it can also be used to create fruit caviar or other tiny spherical objects. It comes in regular (8") and small (6-7/8") sizes. Also available in Limited Edition 24 carat gold (8"). Chopsticks-Tongs Tongs started being used at elBuli as a new piece of flatware for eating fragile or slippery products. They permit optimum tasting of small portions, sashimis, or carpaccio. Coffee Stirrer The holes in the coffee stirrer allow air to go through when stirring. This piece is part of the "transmaterialized" objects in El Bulli, objects popularly known in their plastic, disposable form, and now, forged in stainless steel, become fine objects. Ice Cream Spoon Shaped like the disposable ice cream spoons, but made of stainless steel, so it's not meant to be thrown away. Offering tastes with spoons is distinct from service with plates because we control the exact proportion of ingredients that goes into each bite, creating a voyage of tastes by varying products and proportions.
